ART TRIP TO MADRID: DAY 3 & 4

Hello everyone! This is the last post of Madrid and I’ll be doing day 3 and 4 together.

In the morning of the 3rd day we went to the museum Thyssen where we saw a Cézanne exposition and then we visited the whole museum. We stayed there all the morning.

After that we went to have lunch in the centre of the city, we found a place where the food was really good in the main street. 

¡Hola a todos! Esta es la última entrada de Madrid y para esta he hecho los días 3 y 4 juntos.

En la mañana del tercer día nos fuimos al museo Thyssen donde vimos una exposición Cézanne y luego visitamos el museo entero. Nos quedamos allí toda la mañana.

Después de eso nos fuimos a comer al centro de la ciudad, encontramos un lugar donde la comida era muy buena en la calle principal.

We went for a walk until it was time to meet the other people in front of the underground entrance because we were going to a place that was a bit far. 

Fuimos a dar un paseo hasta la hora de reunirnos con las demás personas en frente de la entrada del metro, ya que íbamos a un lugar que estaba un poco lejos.

We arrived to the “El Matadero”, it’s a place with a lot of random things. There were expositions, videos, bars, workplaces... but all looked like an old building. There we took some photos of our outfits.

Llegamos al "El Matadero“, un lugar con un montón de cosas al azar. Había exposiciones, videos, bares, lugares de trabajo... pero todo parecía una fábrica vieja. Allí tomamos algunas fotos de nuestros conjuntos.

I was wearing a black shirt with a zipper in the back from New Look, the burgundy scarf and the boyfriend grey cardigan from Primark, some jeans from Only and the boots from Coolway.

Yo llevaba una blusa de color negro con una cremallera en la parte posterior de New Look, la bufanda burdeos y el cárdigan estilo boyfriend gris de Primark, unos jeans de Only y las botas de Coolway.

Elisabeth was wearing a burgundy shirt with black lace from Double Agent, some grey jeans from Stradivarius, the scarf from Natura and the shoes from Mustang. 

Elisabeth llevaba una blusa de color burdeos con encaje negro de Double Agent, unos vaqueros grises de Stradivarius, una bufanda de Natura y los zapatos de Mustang.

Once we left “El Matadero” we went to the museum Reina Sofía, mainly to see the Guernica by Pablo Picasso.

After that we were really tired so we went to the hotel to relax a bit and then for dinner we found a place decorated like the 60’s, we loved it and we ate perfectly!

Later, we had some fun because it was the last night and we went to sleep late...haha.

Una vez que salimos de " El Matadero " nos fuimos al museo Reina Sofía, sobre todo para ver el Guernica de Pablo Picasso.

Después de esto estábamos muy cansados, así que fuimos al hotel para descansar un poco y luego para la cena encontramos un lugar decorado como los años 60, nos encantó y comimos perfectamente.

Más tarde, tuvimos un poco de diversión, ya que era la última noche y nos fuimos a dormir tarde... jaja.

The last day we packed our stuff and we left it inside the bus, then the bus took us where the Contemporary Art Exhibition (ARCO) was. We spend there the morning and it was incredible, the art was so shocking and different! Unfortunately we were too tired to stay there for more time.

We decided to have lunch (we bought some food before we left the hotel) sitting outside and when it was time to go we got on the bus and came back home!

El último día hicimos las maletas y nos fuimos en el autobús, el autobús nos llevó donde estaba la Exposición de Arte Contemporáneo (ARCO). Pasamos allí la mañana y fue increíble, ¡el arte era tan impactante y diferente! Desafortunadamente, estábamos demasiado cansados ​​para permanecer allí por más tiempo.

Decidimos comer (compramos algo de comida antes de salir del hotel) sentadas afuera y cuando llegó el momento de ir nos subimos al autobús y volvimos a casa. (:

ART TRIP TO MADRID: DAY 2

Helloooooooooooo! Here I am again for the day 2 of my art trip to Madrid (:

In the morning, we went to a museum that was near our hotel called “Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando” where we saw some fascinating paintings. We spend there a lot of time because there were like three floors to visit.

¡Holaaaaaaaaaaa! Aquí estoy de nuevo para el día 2 de mi viaje de arte a Madrid (:

Por la mañana, nos fuimos a un museo que estaba cerca de nuestro hotel llamado "Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando" donde vimos algunos cuadros fascinantes. Pasamos allí mucho tiempo porque había como tres plantas para visitar.

Before we had luch, we went to “Caixa Forum” where we saw a photography exposition called GÉNESIS. The photos were taken by a man called Sebastiao Salgado. THEY WERE AMAZING! I really recommend you too google this photographer because it’s incredible.

It was a guided visit and that helped to understand the different situation in the photos.

After that, we had lunch and waited until 4 o’clock because that time we had a guided visit in “El Prado”. While we were waiting, we took some photos of our outfits. 

Antes de que fuéramos a comer, fuimos a "Caixa Forum" donde vimos una exposición de fotografía llamado GÉNESIS. Las fotos fueron tomadas por un hombre llamado Sebastiao Salgado. ¡Eran increíbles! Realmente recomiendo buscar en internet este fotógrafo porque es increíble.

Fue una visita guiada, y que ayudó a entender las diferentes situaciones en las fotos.

Después de eso, comimos  y esperamos hasta 4:00, porque a esa hora teníamos una visita guiada en "El Prado". Mientras esperábamos, tomamos algunas fotos de nuestros conjuntos.

I’m wearing a graphic caqui shirt from Stradivarius, some high-waisted jeans from Forever 21, the grey boyfriend cardigan is from Primark, as well as the burgundy scarf, the boots from Coolway and my glasses are from Ray Ban.

Llevo una camiseta caqui de Stradivarius, unos jeans de talle alto de Forever 21, el jersey estilo boyfriend gris es de Primark, así como la bufanda burdeos, las botas de Coolway y mis gafas son de Ray Ban.

Elisabeth is wearing a grey shirt and black jeans from Stradivarius, her shoes are from Mustang and the sunglasses from RayBan.

Elisabeth lleva una blusa gris y pantalones vaqueros negros de Stradivarius, sus zapatos son de Mustang y las gafas de sol de Ray Ban.

Once we finished the visit, me, Elisabeth and Gemma went for a walk because we wanted to do a bit of tourism. First we went to La Puerta del Sol and there we found Mickey! Haha.

Una vez que terminamos la visita, yo, Elisabeth y Gemma fui a dar un paseo porque queríamos hacer un poco de turismo. Primero fuimos a La Puerta del Sol y allí ¡encontramos a Mickey! Haha.

Then we kept walking all the streets with lots of shops and we arrived to the main street Gran Via, I loved it! You can see a bit of vlogging in the video that I posted from Madrid.

Luego seguimos caminando todas las calles con un montón de tiendas y llegamos a la calle principal de la Gran Vía, ¡me encantó! Podéis ver un poco de vlogging en el vídeo que publiqué de Madrid.

We had dinner late but it was really good and then we went out to the main streets until it was like 3 am (we only slept between 4-5 hours. Not great haha).

Cenamos tarde, pero fue  bueno y luego salimos a las calles principales hasta que fueron como las 3 de la mañana (sólo dormimos entre 4-5 horas. No muy inteligente haha).

ART TRIP TO MADRID: DAY 1

 Hello everyone!

This last week (Tuesday to Friday) I did an art school trip to Madrid. I was really excited because I’d never been in that city. I know you may think we went by train or plane, nope! We went by bus which counting the hours are like 8 hours in the bus only stopping two times on our way! But...it was worth it!

The first day is not the most interesting one because we left at 8 am, we stopped to have breakfast at 10 am more or less and then we stopped to have lunch at 1:30 pm. We arrived to Madrid between 4 and 5 pm.

Esta última semana (de martes a viernes) fui en un viaje de estudio de arte a Madrid. Yo estaba muy emocionada porque nunca había estado en esa ciudad. Sé que pensáis que fuimos en tren o en avión, ¡pues no! Fuimos en autobús, que contando las horas son como 8 horas en el autobús sólo parando dos veces en nuestro camino, pero... ¡valió la pena!

El primer día no es el más interesante porque nos fuimos a las 8 de la mañana, nos detuvimos a desayunar a las 10 más o menos y luego nos detuvimos a almorzar a la 1:30 pm. Llegamos a Madrid entre las 4 y las 5 pm.

The first thing we did there was going to our hotel and leave our stuff in the rooms. Around 6pm we went to the museum Reina Sofia but unluckily that day was closed so we changed our plans and went to the “La Tabacalera” where we saw an amazing photography exposition, there were a lot of different photographers and all the works were incredible.

Lo primero que hicimos allí fue ir a nuestro hotel y dejar nuestras cosas en las habitaciones. Alrededor de 18:00 fuimos al museo Reina Sofia, pero desgraciadamente ese día estaba cerrado, así que cambiamos nuestros planes y nos fuimos a la "La Tabacalera" donde vimos una increíble exposición de fotografía. Había un montón de diferentes fotógrafos y todas las obras eran increíbles.

After that, we went to a place nearby called “La Casa Encendida”, where there are different expositions, speeches... We walked inside the building and we ended in the roof terrace where we had an amazing view of Madrid at night and we took some photos of our outfits.

You will see that the outfits are more simple, casual and comfy because we were travelling, we weren’t able to bring a lot of stuff and also, we were all day on our foot visiting places and museums. 

Después de eso, fuimos a un lugar cercano llamado "La Casa Encendida", donde hay diferentes exposiciones, discursos ... Dimos una vuelta por el interior del edificio y terminamos en la azotea donde tuvimos una vista impresionante de Madrid de noche y nos tomamos algunas fotos de nuestros conjuntos. 

Los conjuntos son más sencillos, casuales y cómodos porque viajábamos, no podíamos llevar muchas cosas y también, estábamos todo el día de pie visitando lugares y museos.

Yo llevaba una camiseta con mensaje de Double Agent, la sudadera gris de H&M, los jeans negros de Only, mi bufanda preferida en color granate de Primark, la mochila de cuero negro de Misako y por último mis botas más cómodas de Coolway.

Elisabeth was wearing a white shirt and jeans from Stradivarius, the scarf from Natura and the shoes from Mustang.

Elisabeth llevaba una blusa blanca y unos jeans de Stradivarius, la bufanda del Natura y los zapatos de Mustang.

It was time to have dinner and we went to KFC to eat some chicken! (I don’t know why but I sound excited in here, haha). From there we took some balloons because we thought they were full of helium. They weren’t. FAIL.

Ya era hora de cenar y nos fuimos a KFC a comer un poco de pollo! (No sé por qué pero sueno emocionada aquí, jaja). Desde allí cogimos algunos globos porque pensábamos que estaban llenos de helio. No lo estaban. FAIL.

 Later that night we went out for some drinks and to have fun all together (:

Más tarde por la noche todos fuimos a por algunas bebidas y así pasarlo bien todos juntos (:
